This plays into how others may tend to mimic another’s subtle gestures and behavior if they like them - including changing their expressions. Language and speech researcher, Dr. Marina Kalashnikova, from the University of Western Sydney, told ABC Radio Melbourne’s Lindy Burns that: “We would use more similar expressions, for example, to sound more alike."

I think I’m “loveable” and attractive, but just not in a romantic way. People compliment me and I know my worth but I don’t think I’ve ever managed to attract anyone, with either looks or personality. It’s kind of sad because I’m usually the one that falls for someone’s personality, while others seem to immediately decide I’m not their type and don’t change their minds after getting to know me.
