Why the Nintendo 2DS is a Good Idea

The reason why they didn't went with the calm shell design is because kids can be rough with stuff, they could easily break the hinges on the calm shell design.

I honestly think that the 2DS would be interesting to own. It's an interesting form factor for a gaming system. Even if it flops, it would be cool to show it around in a few years and kinda make it a collector's item.

The screens are actually just one big screen. Technically the top screen is also touch capable. :o

Honestly, the 2DS is a really good idea for a child.  Considering that a child's eyes are still growing, they can't process 3D like a grown adult's can't.

The 2ds has actually made me consider buying one, after never even considering buying a Nintendo handheld. I do wish it was like $100 though.

i think the system looks great! I am going to get this when it comes out :) i think it got a TON of hate because no one was expecting it, so it was sort of a rough landing. also, the reason there are no hinges because the older hinges break very often, which is another problem solved!
