MAVIC MINI VS MINI 2 RANGE TEST AND 4K / 2.7K VIDEO COMPARISON

I promised you this video and here it is, A fair straight shootout between the DJI Mavic Mini using wifi and the NEW DJI Mini 2 using Ocusync 2.0! Are the results what you are expecting? Also you can see the difference in the two video feeds, All the same "out the box" settings.

Excellent comparison, I was hoping someone would make this video. I have gone 5714m with my FCC Mini 1 and a set of set of 8x yagi-uda with a parabolic reflector. I turned around because of the battery not because of the signal strength, I didn't get a flicker of signal loss and could have gone much further on a one way. The people I got the 8x yagi-uda from have gone 8000m. This all leaves the benefit of the M2 to wind resistance which is good enough and you can still do a lot with the 2.7k on the M1. I'm going to keep my M1 for now especially with the much better range

I felt the mini 2 footage looked a little washed out compared to the mini. I have no doubt that Mini 2 4K looks better up close but from YouTube it didn’t pop. Still great video. Really enjoyed watching the mini in the distance that was great flying.

Great video and comparison. For me a deal breaker would be wind resistance , in my area i have achieved 4km with parayagi and also pretty happy with 2.7k video quality, I don't see big jump in video quality. Nice flying side by side .

Awesome! Loved to see the mini1 ahead (is it me or was it drifting a little bit?).
As usual, the footage is great and you chose the perfect landscape to do it. Funny that the mini1 looks a bit clearer than the mini2 - guess some future firmwares will come soon to correct that (either improving the mini2 or spoiling the mini1)...
The mini2 is supposed to be able to get better range (longer flights) but it seemed the limit was about the same... of course that wind didn't help.
I predict many more tests to fulfil the curiosity of stubborn fellows like myself... 😋
One idea to help the mini2 shine: it is supposed to have better light sensitivity, so an evening flight will probably show that.

Hello Gavin.Very nice video.Just a question, it seems that you were not pointing the controller in the direction of the M2.I could be mistaken but perhaps better range etc could be accomplished?Just cancelled my Mini 2 order btw. Thanks again for a good vid.
