In the WiiU era Nintendo actually briefly tried different modern things including uploading directly to Youtube. I did that with Mario Kart 8. Then when the WiiU failed they abandoned that entirely and one day I logged into Youtube to discover Nintendo had copyright claimed Mario Kart videos their own console uploaded.
