Theresa is addicted to smelling petrol. She spends $400 every month on her addiction and even wakes up in the middle of the night to have a sniff.

This lady lived a few miles away from us, she actually passed away and probably from this since she was still in her 50s at the time.

Theresa was just 13 when her dad asked if she wanted to smell his gas can. That's gotta be the weirdest start to an addiction story i've ever heard. It's sounds so absurd😂

As a kid, her father was probably trying to give her a quick lesson so she could identify the smell of flammable chemicals. I'm guessing the LAST thing he thought would happen was this.

Sadly Theresa passed away only a couple of years after this episode was filmed. She never stopped or got any help smelling gasoline.

Born June 3, 1966, in Jersey Shore, she was the daughter of Albert L. Wise Jr. and the former Paula Rigels.
She is survived by her companion, Frank H. Heim, of Williamsport, two sons, David L. Wise, of Williamsport, and Robert E. Foran, of Picture Rocks; and three daughters, Rachael A. (Justin) Null, of Picture Rocks, Jennifer L. Farquharson, of Duboistown, and Madison (Nate) Wertz, of Picture Rocks. She also is survived by five, grandchildren, and a sister, Cathy K. It’s so sad because she started so young in the most developmental period of anyone’s life. So she really began destroying her brain function quite early. And even one episode of huffing is destructive. She’s not innocent by any means, but her father is also capable in her addiction.
