I have the hmr wilderness in 6.5 creedmoor, and with a quick 2 week load development, I was on 10 inch steel at 700 yards at a local PRS match. Love the finish, the muzzle break and most importantly, HOW IT SHOOTS

I bought a Bergara B-14 HMR in .300 Win Mag and it shoots fantastic right out of the box after break-in. I love this rifle.

I got a B14 HMR a couple weeks back in 300WM. Can't wait to take her to the range and get ready for hunting season and eventually some long range target shooting.

I own this exact gun. The full name is the Bergara B-14 Wilderness Terrain

The "Omnidirectional Muzzle Brake" doesn't do a damn thing other than kicking up dirt and throwing a concussion wave

The stocks are hand painted and it looks like yours and mine are sequential serial numbers, painted by the same guy

I didn't get a rail or a bag with mine

I went through pure hell with it. After 135 rounds and checking everything, I sent it back to the factory. They lapped the bolt lugs and re-crowned the muzzle. They got 0.9 MOA with 140 ELDM.
I got the same result with the same ammo AND 147 ELDM

Mine gets 4 rounds into half an inch and one flier

Then, I found out that many of the B-14 actions have problems after 1k rounds. I'm currently around 200. I don't have my log handy.

So, what happened?
I used 80 rounds of 129g SST for break in. Best group: 5 inches at 100

35 Black Hills Gold 130g. Same groups

20 rounds each: S&B 140g, Sierra 140 TGK, Aguilla 135g And 120g

Average groups: 5 inches >AT 50 YARDS! 10MOA!

I checked the scope
I checked the rings
I checked the mount
I checked the brake
I pulled the brake
I checked the action screws
I had a known good shooter try it. Nothing.

Factory got me a support ticket and shipping label.

7 weeks later, I got it back.

Overall: Would not recommend

I just bought one month back. I'm a novice and can shoot out to 1000 yards pretty consistently. Bergara rifles are quality built.

Do you find it too heavy for hunting? I want one bad, but I'm worried it will be heavy for hiking and hunting.

I have an HMR and I love shooting it, I use it for long range and hunting it’s a great mix of both

I have this rifle but the hmr and it’s significantly better than my previous r700 sps

If this thing is as good as the HMR it will be awesome. I love my HMR it's a tack driver. With good ammo it easily shoots under an inch. I have a brake like that on my Savage 300 win mag. It probably won't do much but every little thing helps.
