I’d forgot what coherency from a POTUS sounds like.

As a kid I grew up in a conservative town where everyone voted McCain and Romney. Even I voted Romney a month after I turned 18. I just accepted what people said about not liking Obama. But I remember watching him and Mrs. Obama on TV and their girls and wondering why exactly people don’t like them as people - regardless of his policies. I remember during science class in 8th grade he gave a speech that was televised to all school children across the country and I thought he had nice things to say, even though I knew I wasn’t *supposed* to like him. Even when I was 20 and living in DC I didn’t pay much attention to Obama or politics beyond visiting the White House. It wasn’t until I started my international relations degree (and also saw how bad trump was) in 2017 that I became politically involved and kind of mourned that I lived through 8 years of Obama without appreciating any of it. I’m glad he’s still very politically active though and I always enjoy watching his interviews either on shows like this or the Pod Save America podcast. He wasn’t perfect, and no president has been perfect, but he was what I think we needed at the time. The calm before the storm.

Wow, he is really articulate and well spoken. I had forgotten how articulate, funny, self deprecating, cultured and well spoken a President could be. I actually watched the whole 33 plus minutes without being bored or turning it off. Now that is a President

Mr. President has true stage presence. He can speak to people at all levels: Foreign dignitaries and heads of state, audience members and people on the streets, and talk show hosts and celebrities. He’s the same guy no matter what. Love this guy for his integrity, demeanor, and smoothness.

He's "just" a reminder of how a real President should be like. Like his politics or don't like it at least he THINKS before he speaks!!

I will never hold as much esteem for any other president in my lifetime as I do for President Obama. I am 49 years old and not until Barack Obama did I even care about politics. He made me look at it in an entirely different way and for that I am eternally grateful. Thank you Mr. President. You are appreciated. ❤❤❤

I love that Obama has serious thoughts about current affairs and how we can improve for the best outcome for all Americans. He is a deep thinker and able to share his ideas in a peaceful, intelligent way without offending anyone in particular. We really need to keep the bar this high going forward.

I think my favorite thing about this video is seeing the pride in Obama's eyes as he listens to Trevor speak.
There is respect there.
