I'm reminded of when, in 2008, at a town hall meeting, Republican presidential candidate John McCain schooled a lady who was saying she couldn't trust Obama, for one reason because she thought he was an Arab.

“No. He’s a decent family man, citizen, that I just happen to have disagreements with on fundamental issues. That’s what this campaign is all about.”

That was classy. I wasn't a big fan of McCain, but in that moment I respected the hell out of him.
