Summary:

1. Listen to your set verses constantly (while driving, cooking etc)

2. Consistency is key. Set a distinct time every day for only Quran.

This year I decided to memorize 12 surahs. In January I completed the surah rehman alhamdulillah. this is a great way to memorize 12 surahs in 12 months. Start with a short surah then if you are comfortable memorizing then try to learn large surahs.

Summary:
- Listen to the Quran/verses you are trying to memorize whenever possible, such as when walking
- Make a time everyday to review and read the Quran. Even if you find it hard to memorize, just read
- Understand the meanings of the ayahs. That will give you a greater relationship with Allah, give you more reward, and help you memorize in chronological order of ayahs
- Technique to memorize:
Read 1 ayah out loud 10 times
Read the 2nd ayah 10 times
Read all the ayahs you just memorized 3 times and repeat for other ayahs
Read the page again 20 times

Im 37 and started listening to Qur'an, not with intention to memorise but just to be good and somehow i just started to remember. Now i want to know and remember more. I am also trying to teach my 10 year old son. What helps me is just by listening to the audio all day as i am cleaning the house or going about my day. Do this every day, i am telling you it works. English is my first language and i don't understand Arabic but i make a point of learning the story of the surah i am trying to learn. It is good to recite with tajweed and a melody. You will just start to remember what the meaning of each ayah is, its amazing. So far
I only know some parts of Qur'an, will keep trying.
I never thought my brain would be able to remember as i sometimes dont even remember what I ate for supper the night before! May ALLAH help us to remember, ameen 🤲🏼🙂

I am doing hifz I'm 11 and I have memorize 3 juzz in my school we have eight periods but we have only three study periods and 5 quran periods
So inshallah my goal is to finish the quran next year inshallah
