My soul magnifies the Lord, and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior, for he has looked upon the humble estate of his servant. For behold, from now on all generations will call me blessed, ...

According to history she lived with the apostle John for 10 years then the Lord took her home to heaven at 59 years of age. She's in heaven and has nothing to do with earth.

This is bull crap, to be completely blunt. No where... NO WHERE, in the Bible does it say that Mary was received into heaven. If this was something that had to be believed, the Bible would say. Because without the guidance of the false Catholic church, you would not believe in this.

One might ask, if Mother Mary had never committed sin and is without sin at all because she was Immaculately conceived, why then would she need to be saved. While we were saved after falling into sin, Mother Mary was saved from ever having been born into sin. Its easier if you think about it like this: being born into sin (original sin) is like falling into a pit. Jesus picks us out of the pit. Therefore He saved us. But we are still dirty for having fallen into the pit. Mother Mary was saved in a more grand way, she was saved from ever having fallen into the pit. Jesus is more of a savior to her than to us, because she didn't even fall into the pit in the first place. Since she did not fall into the pit, she is clean and pure, spotless and blameless. It was necessary she was conceived like this (Immaculate conception), for how can JESUS, GOD Himself, be born of a sinful woman? Therefore she had to be Immaculately conceived. If we love our mothers with all our heart and soul and if we had the power of saving our mother from curruption of body, wouldn't we save her? Then how much more can Jesus, the Perfect Son, capable of loving infinity, love His own beloved mother and therefore save her body from being corrupted? Thus, she was assumed body and soul into heaven, to be with her Son, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Only the Christ Himself was able to bring us into the new covenant.

I appreciate a lot your explanations. but there are some blank spaces between the comments and the tradition itself. and from what I've seen it is an ongoing debate. can you please link us with an official document of the church which clearly says and explains that Our Blessed Mother did Indeed die! Meanwhile I hope that one of the people she appears to will one day ask her this question and clear all doubts on the matter. Shalom

Since Mary conceived without original sin because she was bestowed a gift from God (κεχαριτωμένη, (kecharitōménē), here translated as "full of grace". Grammatically, the word is the feminine perfect passive participle of the verb χαριτόω, charitóō, which means "to show, or bestow with, grace" and here, in the passive voice, "to have grace shown, or bestowed upon, one".), her Body is the same of Christ, incorruptible! After all the word made flesh from her making her immaculate. And as per Genesis 2:16–17 And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die. Mary is saved from this original sin because of Jesus, it means she is exempted from this consequence.

God the Father is the only one who truly gave birth to His only Begotten Son (Logos/Word/Christ Jesus) that comes from His (God) bosom... and made Him (Christ Jesus) known to all (Angels and Mankind)... Numbers 11:12/John 1:18... Amen.

I respect, honour, admire, and am inspired by Dr. Marshall and all his works. However, while preserving all aforementioned admiration and honour I feel within myself towards him, I shutter to consider that The Royal Queen of The Universe experienced separation of the Body and Soul, even for a moment.
There are several reasonable points made by various fathers and saints as well as theological considerations as well as logical and philosophical.
The biggest being our veneration of Mary as Ark of The Covenant. In the Old Testament we read that The Presence of God was never removed from the Ark. The Ark was, no matter if it was displaced or situated, always contained the glory of God, both inside and out. Thus, the glory of the internal dimension of the Ark as well as the Magnificence of the external were intertwined so intrinsically that it was inseparable and undifferentiated. If Mary is the Ark, then we cannot consider that, even for a moment, her internal glory was separated from her external glory, for both her Soul and her Body are venerable and holy. This ties into my next argument. If we follow one of the ancient traditions that attest that Mary was buried in the tomb for 3 days and rose again and ascended into heaven by virtue of her Son, then we would be, in my view, offended the 1st Dogma of Mary as Mother of God. If we believe that Mary is the Mother of God eternally and that from eternity she was designed to be Mother of God, then how could it be possible that she died? If we accept that she died, then we reject her eternal designation. How? Because once she died, she would have ceased being the Mother of God, but rather, The Soul of the Woman who WAS The Mother of God. Jesus is God AND Man, and a Spirit cannot give birth to Flesh. If we were to accept the belief that Mary was in the tomb for 3 days and arose, then we would accept that Mary for 3 days ceased to be Mother of God.
In addition, If the Pope in his declaration wanted to communicate that she died, he would have said it. But he did not include it because, I argue, he did not believe it to have happened. I argue that it is not ambiguous. When he referred to the “course of her earthly life” I am certain he referred to her allotment of Years culminating in her ascension.
I concord with the belief that 3 Days before her Assumption, the Archangel Gabriel came to her and informed her that in 3 days she was to be reunited with her Son.
