Well done in your explanation Dr. Marshall. Pope Francis deflects the issue of blessing same-sex marriage by passing the bucks. Pray that all Catholics are crystal clear in the primary teaching of the sacredness of marriage and the sanctity of life from conception to natural death.

I am an outsider to all of this as I am not Catholic, so take my opinion for what it is.

Pope Francis seems almost like he is intentionally creating confusion and overall misunderstanding around very basic Biblical issues. It seems like he is far more concerned about not having the church 'appear' a certain way to society, while actually undercutting very clear doctrine and teachings.

Also, weaponized ambiguity is a term I have never actually heard before. I know of many many places this term fits, so thanks for that gem.
