Windows Security that comes with Windows 10 and 11 is going to stay free. Only the new Microsoft Defender app for multiple devices requires a Microsoft 365 subscription

I added this app and it seems to work fine. I have it now on three PCs. It was no cost. Is that because it's a preview, and will eventually require an Office 365 subscription to show what it presently shows without an Office 365 subscription? And about how long before it starts requiring that subscription, for it to continue being a functioning free app?

I have Business and Standard Office 365 and since it ONLY USES the Microsoft Personal Account, it keeps prompting me to purchase an Office 365 subscription

Appreciate this video. I just put Windows 11 Pro on my new build and would have been confused by this. I would prefer that Microsoft call it something extra with Microsoft Defender like Microsoft Defender Premium.

After yesterday's video I tried it out since I have an Office 365 account and I'm in the US. It was easy to install, I got it from the MS Store, made a QR code on my PC and added my Android devices. I thought I read something about an iPhone in the promo, but I couldn't get it to work with my iPod. It's not in the Apple App Store yet. It's just an antivirus you can do a scan on your device, otherwise it just sits in the background. It adds a notification to Android that it's running, but is otherwise unobtrusive.
