Electromagnetic pulses do not have to come from a nuclear explosion. You can have much smaller emps in fact there is equipment that is made specifically to do just that. This guy is holding back alot of information.

it comes from coiled up magnetic field growing in distance using nearby electromagnetic fields to grow until it becomes weak and fades away
you can make emp from a battery 🔋

actually an emp can be create by a mirco wave . a common micro wave . when fed to a tv broadcast staion atenna from the 60s. and theres quite a few of them still up.
