I think you can hear a difference, but not in a bad way.
I feel like the first one sounds sharper than the second one

As someone who owns the sm7b, the sound signature of raw recordings from it is fanominal. Very few mics are able to capture the low end in voices well, and the sm7b can definitly capture low end well. The pod mic on the other hand has very little low end, and makes your voice sound very high pitched and slightly nasally

Theres definitely a difference but honestly neither one sounds worse. They sound different, but neither sounds worse than the other.

The Shure has a much darker tone compared to the Rode. When your microphone is too bright it sounds a little too crispy and starts to enter the realm of headset mic territory. I'm pretty sure with a lot of mics you can tweak them to have better low end though.

i feel like the shure is a little bit more muddy than the rode which means you'll have to use a little bit more eq with the shure to get it to sound more natural. I had to listen with headphones to catch it but if you're on a phone or laptop or even desktop speakers then you won't really hear a difference.

Shure has a little bit more bass and kick to it but is it 4x better honestly not for me

Yea the shure is a lot more open than the rod but the rod is a bit more sharper that's the only difference

In a video comparing them you can hear a distinct difference, but in practice it wont really matter

for some reason i get a little mad the way you say røde, it has an ø for a reason røde means red i danish and that is the color it shows in the studio when the mic is hot. please learn how to say røde and dont call it a road

the first one doesn't have as much bass but that's easily adjusted with some sliders in post
