ABOUT AYLA TESLER-MABE
Ayla has been making waves in the world of guitar playing as a professional guitarist, vocalist, multi-instrumentalist and composer, since the early age of 14. After only been playing for two years, her first YouTube video (a rendition of John Mayall’s “Hideaway”) put her on the map and kickstarted her music career. She has since been featured in Rolling Stone magazine, become a member of both the Ernie Ball and Fender family of artists, and earned various Berklee College of Music scholarships. Musically, Ayla finds great pleasure in exploring the numerous avenues available to her through various styles of music, as seen through her work with Calpurnia and Ludic.

Ear training in general is important.
I started with the Door Bell (3-1) then the Star Spangled Banners first 6 notes. ( 53135-1) it's a major cord.
Repetition and association helps.

Yeah I am so happy I got all of them right .. For years I was so confused ( until I learned some keyboard's & learned how to play a slow blues with Maj & minor 7ths including 3rds & 5ths etc & suddenly all the numbers made sense It was those Italian Monks back in the old Days ) But when I 1st started & someone would play a song with C F & G & tell me that was how you played such & such a song Duh ? I said it sounds nothing like it . It was a Long long time until I discovered that I was identifying the correct chord on the record by ear & so I could not understand .. especially if the sheet music was written for Piano & in a Key where the original was in open tuning or the guitar was tuned down like Hendrix . But you make it easy to understand . & I can hear some simple song changes . But When people would tell me All along the Watchtower was Am F & G .. I was so confused .. Then years Later it turns out Dave Mason was playing Em ( tuned down a half step on a 12 string ) & I used to play it using power chords ( leaving out the 3rd as you said ) & Just to finish I was about 40 years old when to my great relief the Master Musician Andres Segovia .. said " of course the tuning of the Guitar is always a compromise one can never be perfectly in tune all the time all across the neck " Wow I thought I was just hearing things odd harmonics & too scared to argue . This was B4 Tuners were invented & I carried a stone tablet to school with a chisel for a pen Lol . Ps Love the tints I don't know why you don't just go all Pink sometimes .. & Do Blondes have more Fun ? Maybe it's an attitude thing love you loads stay safe Give My love to the Guys .. I had a Ludic night the other night .. excellent . I will leave a short comment also for people with no way to listen to a whole opera ( " Takes to long Man " .. Have you heard Renee Fleming singing .. I recommend a search " Ten best versions of The Queen of the night Aria .. it might be fun ??
