I have the smaller one, it's good. But, now I need the big brother. Thank you for a great demonstration.

I came looking for a video on how to use a machete. So helpful! I hate using power tools outside all the time. ✌🏽

A good demonstration. Last year I purchased the XA3 and its bigger brother the XA23. I've about 0.3 hectares of land infested with blackthorn (Slånbär) bushes and find the Fiskar tools very effective for clearance. They were sharp when they arrived and hold their edge well, though I do resharpen occasionally during the day. With the XA23 I can usually cut through a 3 cm diameter Blackthorn with a single blow.

I bought one of these a couple years ago and I will never go back to a Machete, this tool is perfect in the weight of the blade and the overall lightness of it too. Sharp as a razor from the factory and cuts through fairly large branches.

I too can highly recommend this tool for not only brush clearance, but even small to medium sized trees as well.

Good video, my friend!

I have several Fiskars products, I used the brush axe which looks similar to clear some bamboo. Worked much better than a machete. Fiskars handle fits your hand, doesn’t feel like it’s going to slip out or transmit vibration. Held a sharp edge for a long time too.

Know is a Good tool used it in Al Spain and EU and always worked well
at the end, while swinging hit a rock and a part of the tip broke but no problem

I think the hole in the blade may be there because of the manufacturing process. To keep the blade straight during the heat treatment.
Really nice review, thanks for sharing.
Fiskars make good tools.

Im going to get one of those and put a polished convex edge on it.

I like the Fiskars brush hook, but mine was not sharp enough to chop through the tough multiflora rose that plagues us in Maryland, USA. The brush simply springs away. I'm still looking for a method to put a razor edge on it. Very well made though.

Great video.
Just ordered this tool.
Seems like a good asset to have the hook on the end. Protecting the edge when hitting near the ground and the pulling of branches.
Are you from Finland?
Fiskars is my favorite brand, along with Mora from sweden.
Excellent performance and ergonomics.

The symbol you weren’t sure about means not to pry with the tool I believe

This is a modern version of "vesuri", which is an old traditional billhook cutting tool in Finland, and I'd imagine in Sweden also.

Yeah it's like The Woodsman's Pal but the Pal is a lot better chopper.
Both are good for clearing a site, whippersnappers, de-limbing, brush...light chopping with the Fiskars, but it's not an axe, the Pal is closer to a hatchet or axe...but it's got that great hook, like this Fiskars.
For better chopping get The Woodsman's Pal.
Don't need that?
Get this Fiskars.
So that's my opinion...
