I've always looked back in admiration at my mom and dad's marriage and I've longed for what they had. Growing up, when occasional disagreements happened, they were never destructive toward each other and I never saw them fight about trust issues, so I thought it was because they trusted each other and that THAT was the key ingredient. But what always stood out MOST was the respect they had for one another. Thank you for affirming what I've known deep down all along.

This is what I've always known. Meeting a narcissist who claims I must (on my own without them taking any action) take my negative perceptions of them and learn to give them more respect. My question to them is what have to done to deserve this grand respect when you keep ignoring my feelings and disrespecting me?! He was dumbfounded and just kept denying everything he has said to me that was disrespectful. Lol 😂 😂
