#shorts in this coming full length video I'll show you how I'm going to overcome this hiccup in the road to be able to drive this 1968 Mercury Park Lane the 3200 mile round trip journey to the #nonamenationals in Sikeston Mo this coming September 30th & October 1st. Vapor Lock Sucks when you are stuck on the side of the road, but traveling that far and not being able to Race is even worse. So stay tuned and see how I get this job figured out the right way

Good information. I never knew about the vaccuum lock issue.
Take care.

An external Hot Idle Compensator Valve does the same trick..It's a bi-metallic strip which reduces vapor pressure to avoid fuel perculation. Ford and Carter started using it in 1962, and GM, on some installs. On FoMoCo's, It was integrated into most Autolites, Motorcrafts and externally on the last truck 5.8 4bbl F150/250/350 and Mustang GT Holley 4bbls..

Time for a hardline! I have to put all new hard lines in mine for fuel and brakes!

That must have been what I was having trouble with on my Dodge Royal Monaco. I really liked that car, but in the summer, it would quit in traffic.

Unless Sikeston is a NHRA track, then I don't think you'll have a problem at "tech".
