1958s problem is the same problem as every 50s creature feature: 10% of the runtime deals with the monster and being an actual horror movie while the rest of the film is just massive chunks of people talking and talking and talking.

The 1988 version was better. Loved how they weren’t afraid to melt a kid in that film. 😂

The 1958 version is the better version of the 2 (In terms of the film). Take when doc halland gets killed. In the remake they show him dying up close, witch is scary, but i think the original did it better, with not being able to see doc halland killed makes it more scary, with a sense unknowingness, witch goes into our primal instinct. With also better characters and a more sense of mystery rather than gore, the original is, in my opinion, the better version.
