Being controlled by the opinion of other people is a problem every person struggles with to varying degrees. Biblically it is called fear of man. This term is typically more recognizable by such labels as peer pressure, insecurity, shyness, codependency, introversion, and self-consciousness.

Thank you Rick! God has used you to reveal a huge sin in my life. It breaks my heart that I fear man rather than God. You bring up a very good question in your Webinar --Why am I more concerned about what others think of me, than what God thinks of me? I'm constantly reminding myself "If God is for me, who can be against me?" --yet I fear rejection. Lord, help me to repent and turn away from my sin of idolatry.
