Getting grease stains out without fading colors can be tricky! But I've got a tried and true formula made from just a couple of ingredients that you probably already have on hand. Your stains will be gone in no time!

If I say this is absolutely amazing, it won't begin to describe it ! I used it on a brand new black sweatshirt that got splattered with hot frying oil, just because I was a bit worried I applied everything on the wrong side after marking the stains with pin needles. ALL GONE !! Thank yo so much !!!

Just wanted to let you know I tried your oil and baking soda method to clean my kitchen cabinets and it worked like a CHARM!!! I have been trying to find something to clean the grease off but nothing seemed to work, not even Magic Eraser, without scratching my cabinets. Thanks for the great tip! My cabinets are nice and clean and like new again! :)

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, this works. I have a maroon winter coat which had 2 oil stains one large one on the front of the jacket and some on the sleeve. I did not use the peroxide, but I used the dishwashing liquid called fairy (In the UK) and baking soda, left it on for an hour and then put it in washing machine. The stains completely vanished.

This trick is wonderful. The first time I used it, my Dad was wearing a salmon (or peach) colored shirt, and a blue ink pen busted in his pocket. My mom and I went to work on it using this "recipe" and the stain came out perfectly!
Recently, I tried it on a white shirt that was stained yellow - I think from sunscreen! :( The stain has mostly come out, but I think I need to give this another go before I launder it. If that doesn't work, I may have to resort to bleach, which I really don't want to do!

Oh my gosh. THIS I had a stack shirts headed for the trash because of set in oil stains (had already been washed in hot water and dried). I tried this and the oily spots came out of EVERY shirt. I am completely amazed.

I had an cooking oil stain on my favorite cotton t-shirt and didn't know. I threw it in the wash and ran it through the hot dryer. Pulling it out and realizing it had a stain, I was devastated. I was seriously going to just buy a new shirt ($50.00) before I came across this video. After trying this video and going step by step, the stain is 99% gone. I am shocked!!!! Only someone like me with a keen eye can notice the very slight blemish. I'm so happy now and thanks for posting this video !

Thank you so much, got wonderful results. Though I could see the stain just a little bit, I did it again and then the stain was gone. Thank you for this wonderful trick.

I put several drops of Suave Daily Clarifying shampoo for normal to oily hair right on oil stain, rub gently and rinse thoroughly by hand, it works without chance of fading out fabric color, I also hand wash all delicates with this shampoo 👍💯 the color of the shampoo is an off blueish tint so it won't tint, fade or harm the fabric.

I tried this last night and it worked like a charm. It was a red shirt, the hydrogen peroxide did not bleach the shirt

The recipe sounds good, I'm just afraid the peroxide will fade the color of my steel gray bridesmaid dress.

Awesome my little girl had a smocked dress & pretty much got grease everywhere on the front & i was afraid to try it because I didn't want it to look bleached & it would be ruined 4 sure but I took a chance because how much worse could I make it lol & it did fade the color of the dress some but it lightened the grease spots & it looks so much better than b4 thanks 👍😄

Does this work for dark clothes as stated inn the title or just light clothes as in the actual tutorial...?

I appreciate some of the comments giving examples of very dark garments, black, dark blue, to tell how they safely removed the stain. i just have more questions about the technique of rubbing the fabric without rubbing the dye out of the clothe, because i ruined a dark blue warm comfy zipper hoodie which i want so bad to have the use of again but it has a large whitish light blue circular area against the dark blue back ground, on the right chest, near the shoulder. Now, i have a lightweight somewhat thint material pretty dark colored mauve hoodie, no zip. with a very small, less than 3/4 inch pretty light grease stain. i want to to soak it in a little water with dish soap but i'm very inexperienced at stain cleaning and i am so scared to do something wrong, mainly about the technique, is there an safer ways of rubbing the fabric without removing any dye? are there any tricks or secrets, are there things to definitely NOT do? Are there examples of darker materials than the one in this video? i am mostly worried about rubbing the material at all, but i guess you have to rub it to get the grease out, it won't rinse out with the right soap? i notice several commenters were afraid of pyeoxide and at least one had a stain that got bleached, ruining the garment from peroxide. i want to know about experiences with darker colors than the one in the video. I used "dark dye" in my search terms and other search terms with the word "dark clothes" in my search, and ths was the ONLY link that at least addressed word "dark." Apparently it's not a common problem for people to need to remove grease stains from clothes colored with a truly dark dye. i need to keep looking for help though because there must be some definitive information about this, maybe my hoodie can be saved.
Another question is, on my dark blue Pact hoodie i got at Whole Foods which i ruined by trying to get a grease stain out, leaving me traumatized about this problem, is there any way of having that hoodie re-dyed?? good luck everyone! i appreciate that this video at least acknowledge the search term 'dark' as in dark clothes !! thank!

I wonder if it'll work making a paste first and then applying it on the finer fabrics like chiffon or formal party dresses. I'm gonna try that.

I'd love to see how to remove aged olive oil and cooking oil splatter off dark blue or black tshirts. i've tried various suggestions but they still remain and are an eyesore.
