The problem is that there are too many Ex-Generals fighting the WAR as "expert" TV commentators. You have to believe that the Russian experts are watching the Western experts tell them what, when, and where a counter offensive is going to happen. The only element that the Ukranians have left is a limited element of surprise. There is also a difference between the Ukranians waiting and gaining a significantly better logistic advantage.
