For windows 10 users if you still cant find the sound menu as shown do this:
1. right click the sound icon on your taskbar and click "open sound settings"
2. next scroll down till you see "sound control panel"
3. click it and youre welcome :-)

Love how everything is a youtube video now, very valuable tool for a guy trying to setup a headset so he can hear youtube videos. I've had so many issues with this headset, I will never buy another Astro.

My setup is a bit different. On Windows 10, I've connected my A50 to my Soundblaster ZxR sound card via optical out and I'm using the ZxR as the default sound device. Basically, the same setup as the Gen 2 Astro A50. I've noticed that my Dolby 5.1 surround sound quality is a lot better when my ZxR is encoding and processing the sound, compared to having everything run through the base station.

I set the playback to Astro A 50 Voice and it sounds 10x better then Astro A50 Game why is this????

Can anyone tell me how to fix the issue with output ?, i can not hear anything in the game when i use ( astro a50 game ) i have to Change it to the ( astro a50 voice ) to hear evrything in call od duty warzone. Also when i increase the volume of game from the headset The sound is getting smaller however when i increase the chat volume The sound of the game and chat increases together 🤦🏽‍♂️

i Exactly do what you do in this Video. But i didnt get sound with Astro A50 Game. I Only get sound in "Voice"

Alright homies
You have two audio devices in your PC (game and voice) so that you can use the game and voice mixer built in to the headset.
Rename them whatever you want, you set your discord output to be different than your game output so you can use the mixer built into the headset to adjust levels on the fly.
FOR PC you don't need the optical cable, you only need USB.
