Project Manager Vs Site Manager

In this video I talk about the main differences between a Project Manager and a Site Manager. A lot of people don't quite understand where the line is between these two roles. So I thought I would sit down and breakdown both roles with their key responsibilities. Now there are a lot more duties for both of these roles but I wanted to highlight the main ones so you can identify which role you fall into or which role you need to hire for.

I share how the Project Manager is an office based, planning role that preps all the details such as the specification, programme and trades in advance of the work starting on site.

Then I explain how the Site Manager is then given all the paperwork that the Project Manager creates and then ensures it is executed correctly. Communication between the two roles is key to success.

Well explained the topic as a management professional in my opinion when a new project begins, the manager identifies the group best suited to handle the project.He then breaks down the activity into small parts and assigns each part to the person most suitable to handle it which is site project manager.He let's these leaders know that they are responsible for getting these tasks done nd gives them the the authority to do all that is necessary to complete the task.Project manager assigns them deadlines and go to inspect the Quality control of the project on nd often nd takes the update from site manager to get an idea of the progress of the project.Hence Organizing play's a vital role in Project management in brief in my views.The Controlling function consists of those activities that are undertaken to ensure that the project do not deviate from prearranged plans nd workforce team of technical nd non-technical should follow the execution as per specification in a systematic manner to achieve excellence results of the project.Vry.inspiring nd outstanding lecture nd worth praising.It is also a part of effective management as a overall Perspective.Thanx👍

Hello. I am a 19 year old sophmore in college thinking about majoring in construction engineering and management. At first, I was leaning towards civil engineering. However, with all of the research I've done, im leaning towards construction. It aligns more with my goals, and I think it could get me the farthest in life. I was wondering what the intry level type of jobs are in the construction field? Like, what could get me through the door? I wouldn't be comfortable enough to give orders to people who already know what their doing. Im also a girl and have no idea what that would look like for me. Im comfortable with everyone unless they give me a reason not to be.

Ps I had a construction class in hs for two years and was the only girl. It was my favorite class and I never had any problems. Those guys are partly why i want to pursue a career in this field.
