Regarding husbands and kids not being able to find stuff, I've decided that unless it reaches out and grabs them, they literally WILL NOT see it. It's both maddening and humorous.

"Is this Pinterest worthy? No. And you know what's great? I don't care." YES SISTER! That's been my pantry mantra Do what actually works for you!

I love “I gave up my fantasy person”…. I am getting ready to turn 50 in 2 months and I am enjoying myself more and more as a person because as long as I am ok with something it makes me “wildly happy”!!!

My pantry style is “coffee cans and black magic marker”. It keeps critters out. I save jars for nuts and things. My Kailua cookie tin has been flour for 30 years!

My Pyrex loaf pan is one of the open bins in my pantry. I use it for envelopes of seasonings, vacuum-packed olives, gravy packets and seeds that I plan to sprout. Once or twice a year I dump the packets into a mixing bowl while I use the pan and put the packets back when the pan is clean and dry.

I have generic labels like “pasta” “cereal” for majority of my storage containers so I can mix and match the products instead of being very specific to what I store. It works!

This pantry organization makes more sense than any single one I’ve ever seen before. Great job good ma’am !!

Love this! I think we get so caught up in aesthetics that we lose out on function. I see so many pantry makeovers that have a certain "look" and everything is matching, but it's not frugal or functional. I will take frugal function over aesthetics any day! Be a rebel. Your house, your rules! 😁

I agree, your pantry makes sense to me too. It's nice when you get to the point that you don't care so much what others think. If you like it that's what matters!

You said you have to be able to see everything, but you don't want to see everything. I'M THE SAME WAY!!! I can't stand the clutter of being able to see everything, but if I can't see everything, I forget what I have. You are wonderful. Thank you for sharing. I had also started to organize my pantry into category bins, when I came across your video. It's nice to know I'm not the only one that has to have things like that. Big hugs.

Due to living in the country we tend to get mice in the pantry. So I purchased large boxes with lids and combined like items like you did and added big labels. Most ingenious part was putting all the boxes with items my husband looks for often at HIS eye level.

Your pantry is enormous! So jealous. I don't even have a pantry in my house. I have to fit everything in my kitchen cupboards. It looks great and makes sense.

I absolutely love what you said about getting older, not caring what other people think and letting go of the fantasy version of yourself. It’s so true!! I leave most things in original packaging- I can’t do that “containers for everything” method either. I have containers for flour, sugar, cereal but otherwise just have everything nicely organized with things grouped, like a cabinet for baking, a large spice rack, etc.

Finally a woman I can relate with! I love to bake and cook and my pantry will never look pinterest worthy. I'm only 32 with 5 kids and I agree, the older we get the less we care what others think. Although I am jealous of your pantry. I don't have one, we use book shelves for our pantry. Thanks for being honest and sharing!

I appreciate how real you are. I, too, struggle with pantry organization - and I'm an empty nester! 😂 You'll be shocked how, when the kids are grown and gone, they can so easily find your snacks when they come home to visit. 💕

Love those bins! Wait till you 60, you really let go of fantasy self, buy less stuff, and care eve less about the opinions of others. If you visit my house, it will be tidy, not spotless. You will be welcomed, fed, and loved. What else matters? I enjoy your videos, thanks.

Every pantry should work for the individual family. Remember just because you are a cricket doesn't mean your whole family is. Perfect is over rated. Heck I just use masking tape and sharpies for labels. You are so much fun to watch.

This is legitimately the way I’ve always stored my things, by purpose and use.

I love the basket system! I went to Goodwill and bought storage baskets . They were super inexpensive and like new and they work great!! I look every time I go to Goodwill and have continued you find super nice baskets and everything is organized .Another great thing to do that lessens your Footprint in the environment. Buy 9x13 pans at Goodwill instead of using the throw away aluminum ones . You can get them for super cheap and they always have them to buy. And they’re reusable and store casseroles in the freezer great. Take them out pop in oven and reuse.
