Sorry to be a negative-responder but my brother (professional contrator and carpenter), says that these over-the-door holders actually change the way the door hangs from its "moorings" and eventually affects whether or not it will shut properly. Instead, I've used these to hand from a tension rod or even command hooks on the wall. 🌿M <><.

To avoid the two fastened hook racks from sliding apart under tension, take another zip tie for the right and left sides which are connected and slip it vertically through the upper and lower horizontally-tied zip ties, creating a slip-proof connection.

You could super glue along with using the zip ties for more strength.

I use these hooks on the inside of my sewing room closet. I hang my zippers by size using clips, then clip to the door hooks. I also hang my embroidery thread as well.

Instead of straightening the hooks completely, keep the bend near the end and fold it down flat, then straighten the hook from the top one as normal and fold it up the opposite direction from the bottom rack. Overlap the folded sections so that the folds slot together like

Then zip tie the pieces. The folded ends keep the racks from sliding out of the zip ties, therefore securing them.

What's better Is the over the door shoe organizer cause you can use to put anything in it

To secure those 2 straight lines tied with zip ties, bend the lower hook toward the center, just enough that the zip really holds.

This is a great idea for hanging stuff! If it doesn’t fit someones’s doors or they think it’s too flimsy or it will harm the door - then don’t use it. 🙄

I love using clear hanging shoe organizers on the back of some of my doors. The pockets hold tons of stuff and it’s easy to find because it’s transparent. In the pantry I use it for water bottles, different types of things on rolls - tin foil, plastic wrap, parchment paper etc. In the closet near the front door it holds anything from scarves and mittens to sunscreen and batteries.

Zip ties will not hold for anything that has even a small amount of weight.

I bought one of these years ago, I couldn't shut the door with it on. And yes I tried several doors

Wow it’s so simple and so revolutionary!

Just glue them together. Don’t use zip ties. Or tie string if you want more length

Great idea! I'm gonna do this! Thanks!

It's good, but only drawback is can't hang thin cloths because the sharp holding point ruins the clothes..for rest like bags keys ect it's best.
