I have been putting this pantry makeover off for so long because I honestly thought it was hopeless to fix this pantry without having to completely rip everything out and start over. But you guys know me, and you know that I try my best to work with what’s already there. This makes things a bit more budget friendly and also just more realistic and doable for most people! So instead of ripping the whole pantry out, I created some custom DIY solutions, including these DIY shelf risers that are a U-shape, MAXIMIZING the storage in this small space.

I'm fortunate enough to have a large walk-in pantry, 1' deep shelves, on both sides, it's 7' deep, so plenty of room. When COVID started, I organized it so I could stock up. I have bins for specific areas, one is coffee, one breakfast, condiments, etc. Everything is stock and new, unopened products. I shop from the pantry, if it gets removed, it goes on the shopping list to be replaced. One side is food items & the other side is, bathroom items, cleaning, storm supplies. Entire top shelf is paper products, not going through the "toilet paper outage" again.
Floor, trash cans that hold 16 lb bags of cat food, the vacuum, bottled water& storm supplies.
I'm also in Florida so have to be prepared for severe storms and hurricanes.

Great job!!! The lighting add SO MUCH!! My main organization job for the summer is our garage. It has become a dumping place for the things my kids have left (they are both married with their own kids now🙄 I have their permission to donate non-sentimental items to charity. Our goal is to turn it into a playroom for our five grandchildren when they visit in the summer months, but turn it back into a garage when they leave. (We purchased an air conditioner and large rug with a thick pad, and things to store toys in!)

I would say add enough hangers, making tea, where the TV is make it were the guest is really comfortable to watch... cozy, kitchen to have a little key items and good quality coffee maker were they have options. Victorian is just classic beautiful! oh and the best winery contacts for tastings.

Great organization. I would have put the “back” shelves on top of the side shelves so there wouldn’t be the space that is tough to reach in the back corners. But this looks amazing! Good job Tina!

Regarding the chalk pen suggestion for labeling: if you don’t already have a chalk pen or don’t want white lettering, permanent marker works and is removable with rubbing alcohol.

If you can’t get to the top, have a foldable step on the inside of the pantry or underneath the sink. It’s insane how much I use mine because I have tall ceiling cabinets and my pantry is very tall. For items high up I put those small see though pull out storage bins so I can easily move items.

Never would have thought about adding those shelves to the side of the pantry. Thanks so much. I will definitely do that. In my old house I had a huge walk-in pantry. In new house, my pantry looks like an exact duplicate of yours. Still trying to figure out where all the spillover will go. 😊

That is brilliant! I love the lights above each shelf. And the lazy susans. The wrap around shelves are great also. I don't have a Pantry in this apt, wish I did.. thinking about one of those shallow tall multi shelf things on wheels that slides beside the fridge.
