I'm Paul Kerton, a former Personal Trainer and Vegan Nutritionist, I am now a full-time Social Media Influencer. Not so long ago, in a misguided attempt to try and grow muscle as quickly as possible, I ended up eating more animal products than probably anyone you've ever met. Through research, I came to learn the deleterious effects that eating even quite trivial amounts of animal products has on one's health and through personal experience, I found that far from being a hindrance to sports performance, a well-planned vegan diet is actually optimal! Then with an open heart, I looked at how we treat animals in order for them to end up on our plates and it shook me to the core. I could not believe that for so long I fell for the lies that others tell us, that we tell ourselves, in order that we perpetuate this destructive behaviour. Destructive to ourselves, the beautiful, intelligent sentient beings that are here with us and indeed our very planet. To try and put right my part in all of this I was compelled to overcome my fear of being filmed for YouTube and television, appearing on the radio and more recently public speaking. On a spiritual level, I've come to realise that my fellow man too is suffering. If I won't see harm come to a chicken I've never met then why would I be unkind to my brother man? If someone is being aggressive or unkind toward me, surely the suffering inflicted on them in the past is simply spilling over? Do I want to add to that, or can I step out of my ego long enough to forgive them and maybe break the cycle of negativity? This former, quick to anger "meat-head" bouncer has been on one transformative journey!

This is the kind of girl who went vegan because she thought it was the same thing as gluten free.

"Veganism made me $70, 000 in debt." Wow. That's a new one.

I have never heard one logical argument in all of these idiotic ex-vegan videos. 1. You were never vegan to begin with, veganism is a moral stance. 2. Eating raw, organic, "ethical", etc has NOTHING to do with veganism. Also notice how it's always eggs or salmon that these people eat and magically feel better, despite these foods having... absolutely nothing special?

Nothing says prolific liar quite like, "shampoo, conditioner and chapstick got me into 70k debt"

It’s so wild that all these raw vegans go straight from raw plant food to cooked animal products. I was going to make some funny comment about why can’t they just cook some grains, but I think its because the raw movement gets people so entrenched in that modality that they believe it’s the only way to do veganism ‘properly’.

Pregnant with my second. I've been suffering with hyperemesis gravidarum this pregnancy. I was extremely alarmed when my iron levels were low. I tried supplementing even more on top of my vegan prenatals, but I was just too sick. I couldn't hold them in. Just found out last week, that my iron levels are now not just normal, but are great and my doctor said that whatever I am doing I should just keep doing. I didn't eat animals. I can't hold down supplements. I just start my day with oats and nut butters with dried apricots. For lunch I always had a high iron legume, spinach, and sprinkled pumpkins seeds or tahini on anything I could. (I nearly went broke purchasing chickpeas, oats, and dried apricots! :D) I made sure I had adequate vitamin C with every meal. Even only holding down a third of what I consumed, I managed to get my blood values up. If I were eating raw food only, that would be nearly impossible. Pregnancy is not an excuse. I took the same steps as any pregnant person should.

$70k debt buying the best of the best? You're an adult; if you can't spend like one, enjoy the consequences. Animal products are primarily consumed by the wealthy for a reason. The poorest people of the world get by on plant foods.

You can make your plant-based diet as cheap or as expensive as you want it, as healthy or unhealthy as you want it. Veganism isn't a diet; it's about not paying for animal abuse and exploitation (i.e. it's not about *_you_* ).

I don’t understand this “vegan cult” mentality. I mean I’m the same person, I just make better choices now.

This lady was in the same Hawaiian friends community Ellen Fisher is in. I remember Sarah talking about how someone in the community chastised her for feeding her child gluten and she was scared to show her daughter having a wrap with beans even though these things are perfectly fine. To be fair, her experience with "veganism" was very cult like. These people ate very restrictive diets and it is unfair to blame veganism when you don't even attempt to eat a balanced diet.

Just stuffed my gob with bangin’ burritos I made…delicious and cheap! It’s SO easy to be vegan!

Anyone notice the audio on this channel has been really bad the last couple vids? Not sure if Hench addressed this, but it sounds like a completely different mic! Great content as usual.

Pre eclampsia has no known cause, it is theorised that it's possibly a malformation in the blood flow to the placenta. It can happen to ANYONE regardless of diet, though of course, the healthier you are, the better.

What a silly woman. Does she realize how daft she comes across as? Blaming an ethical stance (of which she knows very little about) on her own dietary choices? And shopping choices! Sorry but it's hard to have any sympathy for these nuts.

I think she broke the record for most consecutive incoherent sentences. A record previously shared by Jon Venus and Alice Parker.

It's frustrating that people like this feel the need to blame veganism for their poor decisions rather than recognise that they got it wrong and take responsibility for their actions.
