Sooo, I'm not vegan anymore! This was a big decision that I didn't take lightly. Being vegan was a big part of my life, and I'm forever grateful for the community I was a part of. But, I'm ready to start a new chapter, and I hope you all can understand. Also, SUPER nervous to post this lol, so let's please keep negativity to a minimum in the comment section. With so much love, Amanda. xo

As someone who was injured by the pharmaceutical industry I am not able to tolerate so many plant based foods, like tomatoes for example among others (so many) Histamine, Oxalates, salicylates sulfur intolerances. A simple tomato can cause me to have anaphylactic reactions. Meat has been essential to my healing. Do what is best for YOUR BODY

I workout 5x a week lifting heavy and definitely don’t struggle to get enough protein in somedays I even accidentally get 200g 🤷🏻‍♂️ and I’m in a growing bulk phase so I’ve gone up to 145lbs-179lbs so far, so bulking is a lot easier on my stomach vs when I tried to bulk as an omnivore cus back then red meat would slow me down hard and really bloat me like I would be going 4-5 hours at a time without eating when I needed to bulk up at the time so I felt like I was forcing down food back then

This was so nostalgic to watch. I was vegetarian for a decade with occasional stints of veganism and I remember devouring your videos during that time! I even bought those rice cake rolls to dip in PB after watching your what I eat in a day videos. So happy you’re following a diet that fits where you’re at now in life 🫶🏼

I became vegan for ethical reason so its a lifestyle not a diet i believe animals are more than prey which changes the trajectory completely.

Thank you for making this video. I’ve been vegan for 9.5 years and I feel like my body needs a change. I’d love to see some meals you eat now that you’re incorporating meat in your diet. I’m glad you’re feeling better, that’s what truly matters.💛

That’s great to hear that you’re feeling better in your body with the healthy changes that you have been incorporating 💖 I have been following you for a long time too and I love seeing when YouTubers change for the better. That’s what the true meaning on influence is, is to be able to show others that healthy habits are essential to our experiences. So yeah good for you girl!

This was so nostalgic to see, I’ve followed you for years! I used to be vegan, started around 2016 and was strict for four years until was travelling and found myself being restrictive with my diet for the first time ever. I felt like I was missing out on cultural experiences and just living off potatoes and rice! I was pescatarian from then up until last year when I also started weightlifting in the gym. I still chose vegan options sometimes but it does feel good to not have restrictions imposed on yourself. I’m excited to see this next chapter from you! 💖🥰

I just wanted to say I love your videos, and I started to follow you because of your content and I love your personality. You will never satisfy everyone, and that's ok. You are doing you and that's all that matters. Don't let other people influence your opinion or the way you do things. I hope you continue to put content out because I look forward to your videos. You're amazing Amanda

I am never cutting out meat again. I have gone 3 months without eating meat, I maintained 2300 calories daily with salads, fruits, nuts etc... Never have I ever experienced so many health problems back to back. I wish I never would have changed my diet. I am currently sick and in pain. Hopefully I'll get better when I eat meat again. (I have also exercised daily, tracked my daily fluid intake and sleep. I weigh 110 lbs.)

Good for you, you seem very relaxed and happy about it. Time to thrive. The people in the comments trying to talk you down will also quit veganism one day, ignore them.

I see why you were hesitant to share- people are wildly judgmental and awful. I went vegetarian when I was 18 and i’ve modified my diet many times, being pescatarian or fully vegan at different stages. I’m now 34 so it’s been 16 years and right now for me, eating some fish is the sweet spot. I find these labels so restrictive- eat what you feel aligns with your ethics. To me, eating eggs from chickens I’ve raised feels better than eating a bunch of highly processed plant-based food. Only you can make those decisions for yourself ❤

I used to watch your vegan videos back in 2015 and I followed the plant based lifestyle but then in 2020 I decided to eat animal protein again because of my health. And I think a lot of people are doing what’s right for them now

Amanda! Thank you for sharing your life update with us. I was vegan for about eight years, and you were one of my go-to YouTube creators during that time. Your content really helped me navigate my journey and I appreciate it!

Recently, I’ve also started questioning my diet. About 8 months ago, I found myself re-evaluating my choices again. I am in my running girl era and training for a marathon, I realized my previous diet wasn’t supporting my needs. I’m taking it slow and really listening to my body as I figure out what works for me. Thank you for being so open about your own journey—it can be a scary process. I’m so happy for you 💖

Omg so sad! 😢 I was always excited that you were vegan and studied dietetics! Followed you since the early days. Wishing you the best but super super sad to hear it!

She stated that she went vegan to be thinner! She was upfront about that. Her main reason was never about the animals. That was just a bonus. If she wants the easy way out to intake more protein and her body isn’t loving eating beans all the time then that’s fine! The majority of the world eats meat so those of you in the comments being rude need to touch grass. I’ve been a follower since the beginning and I’m staying. Take care, Amanda 🫶🏼

I can totally relate, I was vegan for 4 yrs and I know what you mean “it’s your identity” but at the end doing what’s best for you is the end goal. ❤️

I stopped being vegan as well a few months back after 10 years. I went back and forth on my decision for so long because I had done it for a decade and felt it was a part of my identity and without it, I’d be lost. But it just didn’t really feel like me anymore. I felt like I was starting to outgrow it and became more interested in reintroducing for lack of a better term, regular food lol. Thus far, I’ve had a pretty great experience. Have had no side effects and it’s been actually really fun trying everything all over again.

I’ve been following you since I was in high school. I’ve always loved your videos. I’m going to continue to support you no matter what. I love that you’re doing what is best for your body and current lifestyle. Please don’t listen to the negative comments. Some people are upset with navigating their own food journey.
