Nice! I disabled all my animations and installed Greenify and CPU Tuner, but I could not install the other two apps because Seeder costs money and Clean Master sets my display to portrait which is not suitable because my android device is sort of a laptop....

lol, who told you that? because there are some crappy roms out there, this doesnt mean that they are slow.
i saw a 2010 phone with 512ram and 1.2 ghz from 2.2 froyo to 4.2 jb.
it was runing faster in the 4.2. not from a revew, i saw it live.
its hard, i know, but you can find better and faster roms.
