thank you so much...I couldn't find a pattern I liked for my daughters christening gown, so I wanted to make my own. i had no idea how to make a gown but i knew what i wanted it to look like so your videos helped me make the basic parts for her dress using her measurements, and from there i just extended it and added the details i wanted. thank you....I love how step by step you show how to make a pattern!! I couldn't have done it wotjoutvyou!!!

Labeling the grainline and the stretch line on the pattern is SO SMART.  I always forget to check for that before cutting.  Thanks for the suggestion

You explained it very well. Years I've been self learning to sew by tracing my dress. Now for the first time I can make my pattern. Tnx for sharing.

Now this is my kind of video. I do think though that the pattern could be done a little easier by using a garment that fits a person well and then transferring it to the cardboard so that there is a permanent pattern should anything happen to the garment used for copying. I love the fact that you overlock the edges and just turn the seam once, this is brilliant and makes life so much sweeter and easier and I am all for an easy life. I also love the way you do the sleeves. I do think that you need to let people know that if they do not have an overlock machine that they can zigzag the edges instead. I hope you do more videos like this with shortcuts and easier ways of doing things. Life can be complicated enough as it is so it would be great to have something to do that is nice and relaxing and easy.
