I'm almost 56yo, and I now regret that I never asked her to teach me how to sew.

Please do a “Pattern Making For Dummies” where you teach us how to drape cloth over a mannequin and draw out a pattern to sew. I know how to use a pattern, but I don’t know how to make one; I feel that I cannot use my creativity to its full extent when I have to follow someone else’s design instead of making my own.

This has been the single most helpful video I’ve watched. Thank you for clear, concise explanations and demonstrations of the basics that are completely new to this 56 year old dude who’s decided to try his hand at sewing.

I can join wood, weld metal, solder electronics, and 3D print plastic but when it comes to fabric I’m limited to hem tape so I figured it’s time to add to my skill set. I’m having a blast learning to sew, plus it‘s reason to buy even more tools! 🤣
