Is the BMW E9X the Best Generation M3? Feat. @M539Restorations

This time the man himself Sreten @M539Restorations was kind enough to lend us his beloved E92 M3, with 250,000km! Visually kept stock, however featuring several subtle upgrades that improve the usability & power of the car. In times of cars becoming more digital, more up-badged & complex - this was a refreshing take on what will soon be a modern classic.

Maybe I shouldn’t have watched this video as now I miss my e92 M3 even more! I’ve owned three e46 M3’s, driven an M4 for some time but for me, nothing comes close to the e92 M3! E92 M3 is my fav M3 out of all the generations and I’m looking to get another one even though at the moment I seem to be an AMG fan. The M3 hold a special place in my heart.

Since seeing the first M3 as a convertible in the showroom in Interlagos Blue its one of my all time favorite cars, but in Coupe form. I was 4 Years old was this car came out and every time I see one I still get the biggest smile on my face. I'm working very hard at the moment to achieve owning this cars in 2-3 years. And the driving roads in Oberbayern are still one of the best, it's so nice to see a video of one of your dream cars on the roads where you know every inch of. 😍

Still own my e46 m3. Got to drive multiple e9x M3's over the years. Star of the show is the v8. Amazing engine! Personally didn't like the noticeable size or weight increase. Still an amazing car and anyone would be lucky to own one.

I've owned both the e92 and e46, the e46 I preferred more. just because it's smaller and handled better. e92 was basically a muscle car with the v8 just better handling than say a mustang or Camaro from that era

Finally, a DRIVER talking about cars...a breath of fresh air. I totally agree with your point about EVs and the new heavy cars which boast just 0-60 numbers and forgot about what driving is supposed to be. I own a Giulia Quadrifoglio and whenever I criticized cars like the new Ms being to big, heavy, with poor sound, no nice feeling when driving, people think I am an alfa fanboy. But the truth is that E9x was the last proper M generation (sound, feeling, fun) and I would love for BMW to come back to their roots.
