I filmed the Oscars. When I saw on the Internet it became political I deleted it and didn’t even watch it. If I want politics I can watch that. I do enjoy your SHOW.

Hello Freddie and Alyssa. Love your content, especially the cast interviews. It’s great seeing your cast mates as real people. Thank you for presenting your opinions in a non-threatening way ☺️.

I’m using your podcasts to bide my time until the next DOOL episode drops 😂. Great way to get my Wilson fix...🥰. Take care and God bless you both.

Ok I had to go watch the Frida commercial and honestly I love that commercial. It was very realistic, and I think it would have been informative to have seen something like that before I had my babies. I think it is appropriate for an adult audience. I don't know exactly what the demographic are for viewing the Oscars and it's hard for me to say if that's an appropriate time for it- but I definitely think it could be aired during something like Grey's anatomy or an adult drama like that. There was nothing sexual and I think if people are uncomfortable they really are just being immature about the subject. I don't think it would be possible to communicate the message very well without showing the reality of what the mom is going through- if you don't include a scene on the toilet than how on Earth can you convey the experience at all? So I really like the commercial and hope it is finding a platform to be seen.

Freddie and Alyssa, are you ever concerned getting burnout? I know Days has just started filming but how do you stay fresh about going to work? As an American Sign Language Interpreter I have split shifts too and I love going in each time, every day. Do you have alarms set as a reminder when you have a 'burn' day? I think of Cali, as having traffic: what happens if you or your co-actresses/actors are stuck in traffic and you/they don't arrive on time for the second shift? Does that fluster your work/memorization/lines or can you forget about it when you or the other co-actress/actor arrives?

P.S. I heard you wanted to learn something...

The term hearing impaired is an old term because impairment is something that someone can't do mentally or physically. deaf and/or hard of hearing do hear differently than with someone that is auditory that is not impairment. If you see Deaf in the middle of a sentence that means they identify themselves culturally. Sometimes you may see it written D/deaf and/or HoH. There is also different types of sign methods used in America. Only American Sign Language is recognized as a foreign language.

Rochester Method: (Spelled words or fingerspelling) spell every word by using American Sign Language ABC's.

Then SEE 1: Seeing Existential English: butterfly (butter fly) butter you eat and fly as the animal to get the one word.

SEE 2: Signed Exact English: the animal butterfly has it's own sign with everything in a particular coded letter to match every word in spoken English.

CASE: Conceptual Accurate Sign English: uses the standard American Sign Language words but formed in spoken English sentences.

ASL: American Sign Language: Using it's own Signing rules to change the sentence structure to relate it more towards a non-English spoken language. The grammar of topic, then comment of every sentence is shown one's face. The sound of intensity is shown on the lips based on the sign. Questions are shown with eye brows either really high or down low. All by using visual signing space in front of the person. (Kind of like a director and memorizing where you place things in space). Which only uses about 30% of the word for fingerspelled emphasis or given proper names that can be followed by a given sign. Sometimes the word may not have a sign at that moment a sign maybe created following all the linguistic rules of hand shapes.

Deaf individuals can be Deaf Interpreters. Certified Deaf Interpreter or Deaf Interpreter (CDI or DI) whom is paired with a hearing American Sign Language Interpreter to make sure that an individual fully understands what is being addressed to them.

I use to love watching award shows. Honestly, I stopped because of political things. I just don't want to see that there. I don't think that is the place. I still like the Daytime Emmys though.💞 I really enjoy your podcast.

I'd recommend watching english shows with subtitles on. You'd be surprised by how much you might miss - background noise you wouldn't have caught, a word or two you may not have heard or understood because a person mumbled. You get used to them being on to the point where it'll be weird watching something without them on.

I feel like the difference between actors making important speeches vs posting a video is that the speech will likely reach more people. A person who thinks the diversity talk is ridiculous may see the tile of the video and refuse to watch it. Whereas if it comes up in a speech during an award show, they have no choice but to listen unless they decide to turn it off.

Tyler Perry Studios hosted the Democratic debate before Iowa started, maybe that’s what you’re thinking of?
