Hi, all! Two questions:

1. Do you prefer documentary styles where the creator is on camera telling some of the story, or letting the story be told through images and video only?

2. How's the audio? I've been working hard to make it better and not so shrill. 🤪

Thank you in advance to anyone who gives feedback! I really appreciate it. ♥️

My self help advice to Rachel: Don’t call yourself “self made through hard work” if you married a millionaire at 21 🤷🏻‍♀️

Her advice is like,
If you're homeless, just get a house
if you're sad, be happy
If you're jobless, just get a job

I have lost a child. There were days where all I did was stay alive. I’m telling you with that amount of grief, surviving alone is a huge accomplishment!

All she had to do was enjoy her millions and chill out. Mean girl energy was so strong she couldnt stfu until she outed herself.

As someone who has struggled with depression their whole life and has been suicidal multiple times. I can say that without a doubt, it is absolutely alright if all you did today was breathe. Because sometimes that's really all that you can do...

Not all of us WANT to hustle to be famous or wealthy. Some people just want to raise their kids in a happy and healthy home. Don’t shame them for just getting through a difficult day and not chasing a goal they don’t want

Just a thing about mlms:

My mom was dragged into one when she had no job. Her upper made her buy all this stuff to sell on, but we live in the country. No one bought from her and the stuff sat, meanwhile her upper would go on vacation, show off what she bought because of the company all while telling my mom, who was trying her damnedest to sell what she had, that she wasn’t “trying hard enough” and that “a positive attitude is all you need”. It still sits in her study

I just want to say this: screw you, Arbonne.

“She’s the woman who cleans my toilets”

… the last woman who “cleaned my toilets” owns her cleaning company, employs several people, & makes more money than I do. She also has a heart of gold and LOVES what she does.

A few years ago we had to move my grandpa out of his home that he’d lived in for 50 years- it needed a deep clean to say the very least and that’s when we found her.
I swear, when she was done with the place we thought the walls had been painted and new flooring installed, it was that clean - the woman has a GIFT - along with many people who make cleaning their career. She saw it as a way to help people, to make their lives easier, while doing something she’s good at & getting paid for it.

I’m not trying to imply that every housekeeper/house cleaner owns their business or loves their job, but they are never just “someone who cleans toilets”

I busted out laughing in the middle of her speech about how everything you think becomes true. I wonder what it’s like to never have serious health problems or faced any real hardship— but not everyone is that lucky. These people are off their rockers.

Rachel has only a high school diploma? She could have been the cleaning lady. Most housekeepers have a high school diploma, and many of them get up early in the morning. Any success she has or had was due to luck.

Her advice is basically "don't get enough sleep." As an actual health coach, that's bad advice. Sleep is an important part of your health.

Not all successes are financially rewarded. I have many successes, I cared for my elderly mom, I home schooled two great sons, I’ve been married 40 years, I ran a marathon starting a tradition in our family, we raised our boys in the beautiful Sierra Mountains and so many more. Rachel doesn’t impress me a bit.

I am an ICU nurse of 30 yrs. Despite being a single mum and having had a work accident and been diagnosed with life threatening pancreatitis and Addison’s disease & requiring years of hospitalisation and multiple life threatening surgeries, I continued to push myself and worked so hard I nearly killed my self all because I was being told and ended up believing was I just wasn’t trying harder enough. I am now palliative & mostly bed ridden and most of my days I am only capable of breathing, smiling and laughing with my magnificent 19yo daughter. My family and friends pretty much all said I needed to stop feeling sorry for myself and get back to work.
These unrealistic expectations do gooders like Rachel mouth off about can be dangerous. Listen to your body, mind and soul and take other’s advice with a grain of salt. Everyone is different. She is trying to make money by making others feel bad about themselves. Just my opinion. Everyone is entitled to their own. As a rule I don’t like judging people when your haven’t walked in their shoes but Rachel now takes the cake.

How anyone got past listening to this woman's voice for more than a minute is beyond me.

It makes me wonder how successful she would have been without a Disney exec husband and a house keeper and nanny when she started out.

We need to do a rethink on what “self-made” means. If you are able to move to LA, afford rent, and go to school, without working at the start, you are coming from a level of privilege.

THANK YOU for connecting the dots between "toxic positivity, " evangelism, consumerism, and modern-day social media "lifestyle influencers." It's one thing to have confidence and strive to make your life better; it's quite another to shame people who lack the same resources and opportunities in life (be they financial, social, physical, or mental) for not rising to the same heights as you. I SO appreciate you clearly spelling out such toxic mindsets in your videos.
