There are many strategies, you have to find the one that works best for you.

Is anyone sure about whether programs are allowed? I read this on the ACT page Updated August 5, 2019. "...graphing calculator, as long as it is not on the prohibited list and it is modified
(see below)"... "Calculators that can hold programs or documents:
Remove all documents and remove all programs that have
computer algebra system functionality." Seems like you can use a TI-84, but no programs may be installed.
