I'm taking my SAT like next week and I've been studying since August but I felt as if it wasn't enough so I decided to start watching your videos and I'm feeling a little confident so I've been studying an hour on weekdays and 3 hours on weekends to make time for me to take practice test. Thank you for your videos Amy!

Notes I took! 📝
-For GCF, use the L method of finding common factors and dividing them. The multiply together all the numbers and that is your answer!
-Special right triangles have all sides of whole numbers no rad
-Special right triangles: 3-4-5 and 5-12-13 and 7-24-25 and 9-40-41
-Remember, the last 2 numbers of the special right triangle are always 1 apart!
-How to find special right triangle? Square the smallest number. Then divide it by 2 and it should be a decimal point (ex: 4.5) you will then want to go to the nearest whole numbers on either side of that number. (ex: 4, 5)
-Problems on the SAT/ACT don't take long to solve, so if you see an absurd number like 117, there is almost always some trick to solve it hastily.
-Make tables
-Simplify as much as you can and leave calculations till the end!

Good luck to the people reading this, I hope you get a perfect ACT/SAT score!

They teach this all in Indian schools in class 6th to 8th these are the proper solutions and properties
Like the sum of 2 interior angles in a trianagle is = the exterior angle (11:45)
Her tricks definitely work 💯

You are the best 💯❤️.
Am in the middle of my college application and trying to take the SAT for the first time, in November.
Before watching this video, I was in a serious panic but now am a little bit ok.
Thanks a lot, keep on helping millions by making videos like this. Thank you once again!

heyy...you might already know this, but here's a tip to everyone for the last question, to find the angle of the exterior angle, it'll just be the sum of the opposite 2 interior angles...so here 20+125=145 and all those steps were not actually required...and also thank you so much for video, i actually saved a lot of time for the highest common factor question <3

Hey Amy,
I'm an OL student in Sri Lanka, and I think this might be helpful.
For the last question, there is an easy theorem you can apply:
The sum of 2 inner angles of a triangle = The exterior opposite angle.
Hope this helped.

You are honestly the most hardworking YouTuber I've ever seen, who gives honest advices and tips that actually help. I started preparing for SAT, 3 days ago I've started doing practice tests ( suggested by @humanhuman) and I was thinking how I'm going to solve the math part, I did know more than half of the without calculator part but I just got a bit scared after seeing the questions. I'll be trying out your hacks from tomorrow. Thanks a lot Amy, you are such an inspiration for me!

I came from tiktok and I wanna thank you so much because this is by far the most helpful and practical math act video and I've watched soo so so many. Most videos advise to use the guess and check route and never fully explain the problem, so I find myself wasting so much time checking. I have a 30 math score right now and I just can't seem to increase it, but I'll definitely use your tips and watch every one of your future math videos. Please keep up the good work and make more ACT math videos if you can!!!

I scored a 1020 on the SAT and a 25 on the ACT... I'm re-taking the SAT in October... I panic a lot during the exam, so the anxiety makes me read with my eyes, not my brain (if that makes sense LOL). Hoping your content helps me, thank you!!

for the first tip in order to know which numbers you can divide by you can search up divisibility rules.

I really enjoyed your special right angles method and I was curious to see if it works for all odd numbers so I tried it out with 11 and 13.

11 : 121 -> 60.5 -> 60 and 61
Therefore 11 - 60 - 61
This Holds true for every odd number

Thanks a million 😁

Also for the Problem all the way at the end. Is it not quicker to use the rule ext angles of triangles and take 125 + 20 straight away
