"don't study the night before the test" that's literally what I'm doing rn lmao

A tip I learned from someone who was in the testing room with me: yes it’s typical to bubble in C all the way down when you’re guessing, but ACT expects that so they’re less likely to put the possible correct answer there. So bubble in A or D when you’re guessing. You’ll have a better chance of getting the correct answer that way.

another tip! if doing the bubbling all at once thing, it's best to bubble every 10-15 questions, that way you don't run out of time at the end and miss questions due to no time to bubble!
(also i have my ACT tomorrow....yikes)

Not me studying the day before 😳 this is my first time taking the ACT as a Junior and hopefully can get a feel for it, then maybe retake

READING SECTION: It helps to read the questions before the passages so you know what answers you’re looking for.

Marh tip: the answers for all math questions are listed greatest to least, or vise versa.
Plug and chug "C". If the answer is lower, try the least... aka "A" or "E". If it's neither then it's corresponding "B" or "D".

I am taking the ACT tomorrow and the hardest thing for me is hearing noises around me. It especially bothers me on the reading section. I made an 18 on reading last time because I just could not focus on it.

This time around I’m gonna take my ADHD medication + get good sleep + remember to breathe deeply so I don’t get that fast heartbeat and overwhelming anger feeling 😁

also next time i take the ACT, i should be getting accommodations!

my goal is very ambitious, but i really wanna get a 36. I will settle for a 30 though

edit: MY READING WAS MY HIGHEST SCORE!! i bumped up my overall score to a 26 and my reading score to a 33!

Thank you so much for the genuine help! I've taken the ACT a few times by now and one of the most helpful tips is to go in very comfortable with the test itself. Being anxious or fearful during the test can significantly reduce accuracy, and fear often times comes from the unknown. So basically, get comfortable with the ACT! While in the car on the way there, it's helpful to just remind yourself: "I know what to expect and I'm going to try my best". Good luck to all the test takers out there! Praying for you guys!

I’m retaking the ACT soon in order to hopefully get a 31 for scholarship purposes. I got a 26 the first time but I was sick as a dog and felt like crap lol. My #1 tip is this. IF YOU QUALIFY FOR ACCOMMODATIONS, TAKE THEM! If you have ADHD, like I do pretty severely, you might qualify for up to time and a half to take the test!

Thank you for your honesty, and congrats on getting a 36!! Very impressive!
I think this video really helped and I am taking the ACT TOMORROW!! :O

My tip: Bubble the same letter if you have to guess at the end. I guessed all A's on my first test. Do not guess C, it's too common and the test writers know that. Do not bubble random letters, you have a better chance of getting more right if you guess the same letter.

This video was fantastic. I especially found the per section information most helpful! I’m taking the ACT in a week and I’m definitely going to use the linked ACT tests. I also enjoyed your humor and editing style. Thank you very much for making this video!

The best test taking tip I've found for science is to understand prefixes and suffixes. I know it sounds crazy but when you see big words you dont understand, find something you do understand about it like the prefix photo or something and work from there.

4:44 I've never loved bubbling at the end, I personally like bubbling for every question since I'm a slow enough test taker as it is. If I waited until the end to bubble everything in, I'd be frantically doing it and I would be more likely to make an error.
_-Also bubbling between questions can be slightly calming while still being productive :)-_

this is from my brother who got a 36 on his act. on the act the most common answer is C and B but in the english section always without fail there are AT LEAST 16 answers that are C. hope this helps
