I was in extreme pain every month from 13-33. That’s every freaking month for 20 years. Removing animal products from my diet changed that. I couldn’t be more thankful. It also changed the flow which I could care less about next to pain. Real talk.

The painful period myth is the most frustrating for me. I’ve always had serious pain during my period and no medical professionals want to hear about it. They label it as normal and that’s dangerous. It makes women seem weak when we’re not. 💕💕

I had no idea birth control periods weren’t ‘real’ periods! A video explaining more how hormonal birth control works would be super informative 😊

At some point I'm probably going to buy a notebook, re-watch your videos and write down everything you say :D
It's weird how little we know about ourselves.

I learned more about periods in this video than I learned I did in school! It just blows my mind how much potentially dangerous misinformation there is out there about periods. Thank you Crystal for making these amazing videos! You always teach me something new❤

number 9 is so true! yes you are right about medical conditions but so many people discount how food/diet diet can affect pain during your period. for me going low fat and eating whole food plant based removed almost all pain! it’s not one size fits all but limiting animal products is definitely a start!! love ur videos!!

I would love a vid about different issues one may have with periods - I have PCOS and it took me years to get a diagnosis, even though it is sooo common! And even then I didn't get the right treatment until I put in the research myself and I am still angry and want everybody else to have access to better information!

Love it!! 🙌🏼 It’s ridiculous how little women know about their own bodies... time to take our power back!

Super enlightening! Thank you for this content! Currently more interested in learning about the menstrual cycle and wish more women were interested in learning. Our society and schools do not adequately teach us about all of this!

The hymen myth bothers me too!! I didn't even hear about it until I got into high school and I only heard it from boys 🙄

I definitely believed painful periods were normal for everyone. I did eventually learn that they are normal for me because I have adenomyosis, a form of endometriosis, and every woman in my family has/had endometriosis so I grew up in a household where all the women were in a lot of pain during their periods, and I just thought that was normal. Thankfully, I experience cramping usually on day 1 and/or day 2, but on days 3 through 6, there is virtually zero pain. I personally hate taking pain medication so I always just power through it best I can, and if I really need to just sit with the pain, I curl up with a heating pad and just try to approach it with a meditative mindset and breathe through it. The pain varies in severity and eventually goes away. I actually have more or at least equally severe pain during ovulation. I'm sure you've already got this on your to-do list, but I would love a video about ovulation pain or other common physical symptoms of ovulation that we can learn to pay attention to while tracking. Thank you for dropping all this knowledge, Crystal 😊🌺 I appreciate you!
