NEW Specialized Aero Bike – 5 Things You Need To Know

Mark Cavendish and Peter Sagan have been riding a NEW Specialized aero bike at the Tour de Suisse – their final preparation race before the Tour de France.

Specialized are very good at keeping their new bikes and projects a secret. So, we were a bit surprised to see a brand new bike, that looks incredibly aero, complete with integrated brakes and stem at the Tour de Suisse where Peter Sagan took his bike to a winning start.

There are a few things that we think you should know about Specialized's new aero bike: the name, the lack of cables, integrated brakes, aero bar and stem, and, the lowered seat stays.

Don't forget to comment below with your thoughts on the bike!

I don't know which came first, but GT has been using lowered seat stays on their frames for decades now, though theirs did extend beyond the seat tube to the top tube and they didn't do it for aerodynamics.

I gave this video a thumbs up just because of Tom Last's end board speculation! That was a 1 in 3 chance!

Global Cycling Network take a look at 1:45 for your question about adjustability of the stem, looks like there could be shaped spacers placed between the bike and the stem, something similar as the cervelo P5, what do you think about it?

It's called the S-Works Venge VIAS, says the official Fan-page from Peter Sagan on Facebook

hope that the rim bit means rim brakes so they might have a disc version.
