Here's my 2c worth. I test rode the Foil 30 with the upgraded carbon wheels today, 17km on flat bike path next to river. Nice performance and a well made and great feeling bike. I'm coming off a Specialized S-Works Tarmac so my comparison relates to this bike. Good points - it feels very stiff and solid and so quiet when you hit little changes in elevation of the concrete joins or up a ramp it feels SOLID. Disk brakes are great, they pull you up nice and quick. It had 28mm tires which is a great contact patch on the road for grip but may contribute to the slower acceleration I'm used to. My tarmac had 24mm, of course you can fit whatever is your preference. The default 120mm stem felt like too big a reach for me but the dealer was happy to swap the one piece bar/stem for a 90mm 2 piece. It also was quite susceptible to cross winds and I think the long stem may contribute to this, and could be helped by a shorter stem/bar combo. A very nice bike but not quite enough for me to flash the plastic. Cheers from Brisbane Australia. No lockdown here. 👍 $8600 AUD

I was never obsessed with weight in favor of stiffness and overall ride feel. If these bikes offer reasonable balance of stiffness, weight and fell: go aero!!!🤩

As a Scott Foil 10 owner (and I love my bike), it's the least aero of the bikes. The downtube is so wide it spins of turbulent vectors rather than smooth ones. But after having a couple hard crashes on it, it is very strong and reliable, hence the reason for going wider than UCI regulation.

What about the well known issue with forks collision in the front of the Cervelo? does it stll deserves to be on this kind of list if we are serious?

Disc Aero bikes don't win Tours. But rim Brake Italian climbing bikes do...

And how can the Cervelo be one of the best when it weighs a ton and had a major design flaw in the fork?

It won't win any beauty ontests but the Reacto is hard to beat in terms of value for money.

I've been riding mountain bikes all my life and I'm currently in the market for my first road bike. So, it's a no-brainer for me- it will be an aerodynamic one or nothing. Thoughts on the BMC Timemachine Road 01 Three?

Just get thinner so your body's more aero

Ride a Krampus into the wind for a while, you'll see the benefits of aero real quick! Love em, and they look so

You are completely wrong about the S5... the almost unibody look. Not a cable in sight. Smooth and aero as they come. Looks amazing.

Owned a previous version of the S5. Nightmare of a bike, the front and rear were two different bikes making it very sketchy in tight turns, high speed crits on narrow roads were a no.

So you weren't going to show the Cervelo because you featured it last year? What does that have to do with being a good bike? What is this list based on? Why I am watching this? lol
