I think I've made all the most common mistakes...lol. Another one was buying too many filters/accessories/lenses before I knew what I needed. I have bins full of useless accessories that I thought I needed. I should have used what I had for a bit longer. Thanks for the tips!

A mistake I have made is not working the scene enough, thinking the first shot was the perfect one; only to get back to the computer and thinking it would have been better from a slightly different angle.

As a new landscape photographer that's only been shooting for about 2 months with no experience I was surprised to see that I wasnt making any of these mistakes except for not using a tripod or filters, both of which im planning on buying soon and currently dont have 😂. Does anyone have a good recommendation for good budget tripods or ND and Polarized filters? Preferably variable ? 55mm

The tripod should be #1, instead of #9.
Combined with a ball head (with level bubble) and panorama base, you have the platform for lowest ISO settings, sweet-spot aperture, mirror up, electronic front curtain shutter and delayed shutter. All of which combine for the best possible technical image of a subject that does not move. This shooting method is vital when using very long focus lenses to avoid shake and blur.

Panoramas of static subjects get around the ultra wide angle distortion.

Wearing too heavy a backpack. Too much gear will slow you down pretty good.

The majority mistake is using Sony instead of Nikon 🤓
