I have a few Mantra when it comes to creating images, "Every photograph taken is a lesson learned, (If you care to learn the lessons.) Never take just one image, take at least 6, zoom in & out, move position left & right & last BUT not finally, KEEP ON TAKING THE PHOTOGRAPHS.
BTW I love your style of photography.

Hey Mads, I usually turn to you for photography instruction, but after just having the worst morning with work and family stuff and being totally stressed out, I thought maybe I’d listen to Mads talk about photography over ambient classical music for a few minutes. Not only did I learn something as always, but I can feel my pulse slowing down while I stare at the beautiful photos of Iceland. Who knew how multi-faceted and useful a channel this was??

Stormy weather is the best weather!

I absolutely love your photos in those conditions.

Around 9:50, when you talk about colours of greens, and you say that on the screen and the Android phone they look more similar, very weird but for me the phone screen looks more yellow than either of the two others!
For the B&W photo, similar to me.

Totally agree with not following rules. I took some wide angle shots of architecture this weekend, and I love the distortion! Wouldn't dream of changing it to please others.

Spot on Mads. How can one improve if one does not go out. I have been out in 38 to -34 and never regret it. To get unique images adverse conditions help a lot.

Totally agree with #1 on your list Mads. Now I am in the fortunate position to have retired, getting out more in the last few months has been of a benefit as its given me the chance to take more images and learn more from the mistakes made and to embrace the conditions.

Appreciate your comment on not correcting distortion. I like your uncorrected versions better. My raw editor automatically detects my lens and corrects some distortion. I can try turning it off to make those decisions myself, then.

Your points about wide-angle distortion were particularly great, Mads. Thanks as always!

I do only black and white that's what I love.
Don't care if others don't like my work, important is that you get out in nature off city making foto's and learn from your mistakes
Thanks for sharing 👍

Excellent reminders! Now about intention: I might be confusing intention w expectation. I try to go out without any expectations; trying to being open to whatever I experience or see. I play w my images in post processing; and often times it is only then that MY version of my vision comes alive; often times in black & white.
