Hey Dr. Linkov, I'm 15 and I can see the early signs of Androgenic Alopecia. I have begun using topical minoxidil and am a fortunately a responder. If it wasn't for your video's I would be in the dark about hair loss. Thank you.

I have had a couple minor surgeries and at some point I was very self-conscious about how the scars looked, even 10 years after. Nowadays, at almost 30, I just don't care. Best tip: use SPF.

Why aren't these wound care protocols part of the care of c- sections? They just told me to keep the wound dry 😢

Im sharing with my twin. She had a basal cell carcinoma removed from her face. She has been very self conscious since.

What can this mean for scars that are older (10+ years)? Or is this just for recent scarring

The eyebrows are slowly but surely growing back! Looking good Doc!

As someone with little knowledge on these subjects, the comparisons and analogies used when described for example the skin; is incredibly useful. Thank you for sharing and teaching.

Hey Dr. Linkov, I am a second year medical student interested in obstetrics and gynecology; however, plastic surgery has been tugging at the tail of my short white coat. I was wanting to know if you could make a video about Langer’s lines, how you detect and approach them when planning surgery, and if any factors affects where a person’s Langer’s lines line up. I would be grateful to learn from you. Thanks!

I have found using a medical grade dimethicone on my face after peels or micro needling. Makes my skin look fabulous and heal quicker! I once had a problem with PIH and it went away completely after using my special silicone and oil blend. I completely agree with everything you said!❤

Thanks for the very informative video. I wanted to ask if you could make a video about scar treatment for old, fully healed (and in my case hypertrophic) scars? Are there non-surgical options to improve their appearance and how much improvement can be achieved with surgical options?

Would this scar gel help rolling scars or pitted scars from acne? Also does the age of the scars matter?

Now I know why my PS told me to use the aquaphor and then the scar gel! My BNSMX scars have healed really nicely and hopefully it will heal as well for my tissue expander to implant surgery! 🙏🏿

Thanks for this info, Dr. Linkov! Could your scar gel be used on 10-year-old scars?

Vitamin E capsules saved me twice from scarring resulting from bad burns. The most recent being back in 2019 when I got a bad rather large burn on the side of my face. Having prevented a scar by using Vitamin E capsules in the past, I immediately started keeping the area moist by keeping vitamin E oil on the area. Given this was a facial burn and the size of the burn, I did this for about 2 months. Went to see a dermatologist who told me to keep doing what I was doing because it was working and the healing in the area looked great. End result, no scar. Area is a tad lighter than the skin on the rest of my face due to the pigmentation in the area needing time to come back. However, 4 years later and the pigmentation in the area has blended in with the skin tone on the rest of my face to where no one notices it unless I point it out (some people still don't the difference).

DR. L your knowledge and expertise that you impart is always appreciated 🙏🏼 Thank you for sharing. May I suggest a future topic - IPL treatment options or the like for those of us with titanium hardware in our face as a supplement to your scar gel post op. Have a good one!
