I had a MOHS surgery on my face last summer. I wish my dermatologist had given me this kind of info. Thanks Dr. D!

Thyroidectomy almost 20 years ago left me with a long, raised scar for many years. I worked in a healthcare facility and a PA offered to do steroid shots but the scar actually never bothered me. It’s very light now and it did actually flatten out on its own and is barely visible now.

I can’t thank you enough for this information… I just had basal cell CA removed from 2 areas on my face, the surgeon & staff gave me good post op instructions, however the way you describe Why to implement these strategies was so helpful and important. Thanks for all you do. I appreciate the service you provide through your videos.

I had a total knee replacement on August 3rd. This helped me to understand what’s going on underneath the surface scar. Thank you so much!

Thanks Dr. Dray! You are SO right about planning on the part of the surgeon reducing scarring. After having hypertrophic scars on my abdomen following skin cancer removal, I warned my foot surgeon. He carefully planned and executed the surgery, and the scar on my foot is nearly invisible.

SUCH a timely video. I had a breast lift two weeks ago and I bought ScarAway on your recommendation! Can’t wait until I’m fully healed so I can begin treating those scars.

I had a bc removed by mohs on my scalp . I just got a photo copy with minimal directions. If it wasn’t for you tube here and asking a couple questions after I would have no idea. Thank you for your helpful videos.

Thank you so much. Your professional advice is just what my husband and I need. He has a skin cancer spot to be removed on his cheek. With your opinion, we know what to ask his dermotologist about this surgery, we know what to expect, we know how to take care the possible big scar on his face later on. Much appreciation! 🙏🙏

This is your top 5 videos of all time in my opinion, I have keloids that started from a pimple and are nearly 2 inches big all across my chest and upper arms. They are so big and painful and the injections have become so painful too. At this point it’s like injecting liquid into a stone. I’ve been looking into excising the scar + radiation but so glad you mentioned the cancer risk! That’s a big fat no for me

I had thyroid cancer 7 years ago, and had my thyroid removed. I was worried about having a huge scar on my neck, so I was extremely diligent about after care. I used a stick sunscreen spf 50, that I kept in my purse, every time I left the house for a full year. I used Bio-Oil twice a day, and massaged my neck each time. Just those two things (and an excellent surgeon), and you can't see a scar at all. It's amazing!

Dr Dray, this was so informative and timely. My 95 year old mom, who has dementia and lives alone, is three weeks out from having a 1" diameter Squamous Cell Carcinoma removed from her lower leg. Between her blood thinners, thin dry skin not holding stitches very well, and edema not related to surgery, it's been pretty rough to care for this surgery site. I've just felt like each time I talk to a nurse or her Dr about it, I get different care instructions. It's all good if you are someone who can remember instructions and have someone there to help you but with an older patient, it's been really rough going. This video really helped me understand the healing process and what I should stop worrying about now that she's finally showing some improvement.

Great video doc. Underwent a 13 hour mohs surgery on my face. Reconstructive surgeon did a forehead flap, unfortunately across the nose must be a tough place to do stitches. :(.
It’s been two years and I still use the silicone patches to bed. My surgeon gave me the exact info. Thank you for all you do for us. Your the best!

I had an epidermoid cyst removed from the back of my neck in February. My dermatologist recommended Biocorneum (by Sientra). It worked wonders. My scar is almost entirely flat (scar length was 2-3 inches). The Biocorneum has SPF in it and it worked great. I bought mine at a plastic surgery office (didn't need to make an appointment, just walked in and asked for it). It's not cheap, but the smallest size lasted me a few months of application twice a day. I would highly recommend this stuff.
