Ι will be honest.... as a lore nerd about Honkai Impact and Genshin Impact, MiHoYo wants the causal players to believe that Paimon will betray us and they are hinting on that but that's just them trolling them. Paimon by name is supposed to be the strongest Archon and the most loyal servant of Aether/Lumine. In reality Paimon might either sacrifice herself for the traveler something I personally do not want to happen because I like her, or just remain loyal and alive the whole game, something I would prefer.

I literally just binge watched the whole Wandering Witch anime. This scene was the most terrifying moment of the whole anime, imagine using a ton of magic just to save your best friend just to find out their real horrible personality! It really broke my heart.

I’m always uneasy about the fact that we literally don’t know what Paimon’s intentions are, and she seems to be the only being of her kind in the entire universe so far. We’re supposed to believe she’s just this random fairy who we saved once and now she’s following us around on super dangerous quests with no ulterior motives? And she doesn’t seem to know much about the world we’re exploring either, so it’s weird that she’s supposed to be our ‘guide’. Almost like she came from another world, too… hmm… It’s almost too obvious but it’ll still be painful if it turns out to be true.

This animation kinda reminded me how well animated and written the plot twist of that episode from Journey of Elaina was... Look at that facial expression, there's no attachment at all of the murderer toward her friend at all.
