It’s quite frustrating to mistakenly delete a photo/video from your Android phone. So, how to recover deleted files from android phone? There are several methods for you.

Method 1: Retrieve deleted Photos/Videos from Recently Deleted Folder on Android

Step 1: Launch the “Gallery” app on your Android device.
Step 2: Tap the three dots at the top-right corner and select “Trash”. The name for the “recently deleted folder” can vary for different devices.
Step 3: This will list out all the photos/videos you’ve deleted in the last 15 days.
Step 4: Choose the file that you want to restore and tap the “Restore” icon at the bottom of the screen.
Keep in mind that photos/videos will remain in the “Trash Bin” for only 15 days. So, if you want to recover older files, you’ll have to choose the next methods.

Method 2: Retrieve deleted photos in Android via Google Photos

Step 1: Open the app and tap the menu.
Step 2: Look for the “Trash”/ “Bin” option. You will see the deleted data there.
Step 3: On finding the one you need, long press it and tap on “Restore”.

Method 3: Retrieve deleted photos in Android via Google Drive

Step 1: Launch the Google Drive app and log in using your Google account you use for backup.
Step 2: Tap the menu and the list of photos/video will come on the screen. Simply choose the one that you need and get them downloaded.

Method 4: Restore Deleted Photos/Videos from Android SD card with Recoverit data recovery

Step 1: Connect your SD card to the computer, then launch Recoverit data recovery software and select the “SD Card” as the location to recover data. Click on “Start” after that.
Step 2: It will perform a thorough scan to find all your deleted files on the SD card.
Step 3: Once the scan finished, you can preview the target file and click to recover it.

*There is a big problem though if you delete your photos from android when it is connected directly on a PC through a file transfer mode. This was my case:
- Plugged my phone to a PC.
- Put it on file transfer mode.
- Made a folder on my PC Desktop.
- Cuted 500 photos from my phone folder.
- Paste it on my Desktop (outside of folder by accident)
- I stopped in the middle of paste and pressed undo on my PC window.
All pictures that were affected by undo were gone from my PC and my phone and none of these options found it again.*
Its like a big disaster and hope you guys are more lucky then I was. Only one app found those deleted photos on my phone but it was a catch .. they wanted a payment and I cant do payments.
