Why are your lights flickering or half your house power is out??

If you lost half your power in your home, or your lights are flickering and other electrical things are acting odd, this could be why.
As an electrician we often get calls about half a power outage. Most customers do not know there are 2 power lines coming into your house. Two 120VAC lines, So it is possible for one line to be lose, damaged, melted or have a bad connection. We always recommend calling your utility provider FIRST to see if it is on their side of the line as they will check and repair their side for free. Once you verify with the utility it is not their problem then give us a call.

Might be a silly question, but who do we contact in this situation? Electrian or the power company?
