Pro: Its cheaper than reading on a phone. Your won't fudge up your phone's battery cause you'll need to recharge it more, so you'll save on not having to get batteries replaced. a single charge with an e reader can last you a good while since it barely needs any power.

Most of the time, I have the impression that people on social media try to hide the fact that they're always looking at some kind of screen and that 'they are better than everyone else'. I personally have to have a Popsocket on all devices because I'm double-jointed in my hands. My Kindle came in yesterday, and I'm pretty happy with it so far. I think I fell asleep much faster since I don't need a lamp anymore for reading.

I would like to get a kindle fire because I also don’t really like to read on a phone that size compared to kindle hd 8 thats a perfect size. Not sure which one to get yet. I also want it for maybe youtube or movies. I do have the hd 8 but its an older version and battery is not so good anymore.

In regards to phones and distractions if you can I highly recommend removing all social media off of your phone and keep it for another device, I left mine on a tablet, which I only use occasionally. Or at least turning off all non essential notifications. After that I silenced all non urgent notifications like my emails. Which then only left things like calls and texts for alerts. All these things have significantly reduced my phone screen time at least, I mean I still have a TV 😂. My only caveat was leaving youtube on my phone for commenting 😅 . I also like you bought a paperwhite, I mainly got it due to lack of space for books and being able to travel with multiple books in one tiny lightweight space 😁.

i was considering getting a kindle but since my ebooks are all tied up to the ibooks app i think i’m just gonna invest in an ipad!
