As a stroke survivor I find it hard to hold a paper book an turn the pages so the kindle is an excellent solution

If you read at night, the warm light is invaluable. Didn’t think I would like it but now, I don’t want to be without it!

Can I just give you kudos for the most convincing 'accidental spill' recreation, it was absolutely perfect!

I love seeing how comic books look on the Kindle device - I wouldn't have expected them to look that visually pleasing! Also love the definition and note capabilities of the Kindle. Helpful and informative video!

Fantastic review, man. I still prefer physical books but I've been thinking about getting a kindle for lightweight travel and you've convinced me to pick one up. Thanks a lot.

I'm 90% digital although I still love paper books too and have a big collection of art, design, cooking and photography books. For fiction and nonfiction reading that isn't image heavy, I either do audio or kindle. I have the PW Sign, the Scribe, the Oasis and an older Voyage in our home. The Oasis has a more ergonomic weight distribution that make it much easier and comfortable to hold. My PW is newer (a gift from my family) but the Oasis remains a favorite. I picked up the Scribe as there are times when I want the larger screen and I do read quite a bit of manga on it via kindle unlimited.

The Kindle Paperwhite is an excellent device for avid readers looking for a more comfortable and customizable reading experience. The ability to control font size, warmth, and brightness makes reading easier on the eyes, especially for nighttime reading. The Paperwhite's built-in lighting system allows for comfortable reading without straining your eyes or disturbing others. The device's portability makes it easy to carry an entire library with you wherever you go.

Compared to physical books, the Paperwhite is a game changer. With a physical book, the font size and style are fixed, making it challenging for readers with visual impairments or other reading difficulties. The Paperwhite's adjustable settings cater to readers' unique preferences, ensuring an enjoyable and personalized experience. Additionally, the Kindle Paperwhite's lightweight and compact design make it easier to hold and transport than a traditional book, and with its long battery life, it won't run out of charge mid-chapter. Overall, the Kindle Paperwhite is a fantastic investment for readers looking for a more comfortable and convenient reading experience.

I've been using a Kindle for years and the Paperwhite is the best so far. We don't have ads when we unlock our screens, I set my display to show the cover of the book I am currently reading upon opening.
Personal preference I don't show the page number and percentage read at the bottom of the page, I like to be surprised so I tap it off. I also find having a cover so that I can prop it up like a little tent when reading in bed very useful.
My only issue is that I'd like to be able to delete a book from my library as I don't want it to appear in my list but I would like it to remain on record so that I am reminded not to purchase again. Currently if you delete a book you don't get a reminder that you purchased it previously.

I grew up in a library world for many years, so the thought of giving up the actual book was never an option.., but whenever you go on vacation it has always made sense to me, that a kindle would make things so much easier..I will finally be getting one for our upcoming trip and even going to the beach for a couple days makes a lotore sense. Great review. I'm sold

I don't think that I will ever totally abandon physical books but as my eyes weaken with age the strain on them makes reading text on a page a bit of a struggle and limits my reading time. However this is not the case with the Kindle, especially when I can adjust the text size and makes reading for long periods of time less of a strain. The one downside to this Signature Edition is the lag when you are typing on the keyboard. I never experienced this with my 6th generation model. Although I don't make to many notations it inhibits the flow of my thoughts as I have to slow down and allow the text catch up with me, which oftentimes involves typos when it misses letters. Otherwise I have no issues with this model. You neglected to mention the storage space. I've now downloaded at least 90% of my library (including a few audiobooks) and still haven't hit the halfway point in my storage capacity. I love having a virtual library at my disposal which I can access when I'm out and need not worry about deleting any in order to keep storage space available. I recently bought a case for the Kindle which is very light and doesn't add much weight while holding it.

My kindle white is my third kindle. I just love it. I am a semi-retired teacher and probably read a book a day.. I love that it fits in my purse, so I can take it and read it anywhere. It is light and I can change the font and light at will. The no glare when reading outside or near the pool is fabulous. What I need is someone to tell me exactly how to use it for audio book.. I thought your video was excellent, but need to know how to set up the audio and what I need to go with my kindle to make it work. I had a stroke 6 mo ago and my left eye is only partial vision, so I need it.

I have never owned a kindle but I am looking to get one hence why I’m here. I’m trying to be minimal with my physical book collection and want to encourage myself to read more. Great video.

My very first kindle was the basic. My second one was the paperwhite. I’ve enjoyed reading at night without a book light. My 3rd kindle was the oasis—-my all time favorite—love the page turn buttons. Lastly the scribe—-the battery last a very long time. I’ve just cough up $20 to take out the ads on the paperwhite. Love having the book cover on the screen. I’m awful, I owned 4 kindles 😂.

I've been looking at a few reviews as my current Kindle is almost 8 yrs old. I have adds on it & don't mind them at all - hardly notice them. Occasionally I've found them actually helpful by letting me know about a new book out by a favorite author.

Given how often it's brought up, I feel like I'm the only person on earth who can't imagine caring if there are fingerprints on the back of my kindle.

I'll never go completely digital. There’s just something about the smell of a book, especially a well-worn book, and holding a page between the tips of your fingers for a few seconds before you turn it. Thanks for your great review. I’ve been on the fence between a Paperwhite or the new Oasis as I now want something dedicated to only books, and your review just saved me some $ because I don’t need page buttons after being so used to the Kindle app on my phone and iPads. A screen protector and a PopSocket will suit me just fine.
